It's very nice to hear from you. A good amount of the writers I was following when I first started substack have been MIA. Constantly churning out content is exhausting. And if you are dealing with grief I am sure it feels irrelevant.
Thanks for this! When this platform started it's gradual algorithmic switch to what it is now, in tandem with my own personal tragedies, I think I lost sight of WHO I was actually sharing with and began to think more about the What. Needed this reminder that many people are here to read writing that's not "content." 🤎
All of your writings instantly brings us into the story. This story made me question my obsession with social media and the amount of space it is taking up in my life daily and why am I allowing it. Stepping away and taking a pic, daily may be the answer 📸 Are taking pics weening you away from social media?
I'm very glad I got you thinking! You ask an important question. Yes & no, I'm interrogating what I look at and deem "capturable" and trying to decipher if I'm gathering images for myself or if i'm doing it to feed socials (and imagined audience), or maybe both. Right now I'm spending less time on some apps but I think my goal is to establish some real boundaries with them, get my attention back.
Sending lots of love during this difficult time.❤️Thank you for such a lovely scroll of your camera roll over the past few months
thanks for scrolling with me.
Sending love to your grief ❤️.
Glad you’re taking breaks.
I spent three days without wifi recently and my answer is I need to be in these spaces more often.
it really is the phones!!
